This is a superb opportunity to take on a key role within our respected financial advising business. We work for both individuals and companies, the work is extremely varied, and you will be given lots of responsibility. You will have every opportunity to use the skills you have gained in your financial planning career to date as well as learning plenty of new ones.
The role
Working alongside our Financial Planners you will be taking full responsibility for the preparation and maintenance of a select group of clients. You will be preparing and implementing recommendations and financial plans (including cash flow forecasts) and carrying out ongoing reviews of client affairs.
Prepare client documentation and correspondence for meetings.
Ensure all work is followed up promptly in line with company standards.
Liaise with product providers to ensure timely and accurate responses to clients.
Maintain accurate client records on back-office systems, platforms, and any other IT systems.
Send Letters of Authority, obtain illustrations, produce portfolio valuations, and gather accurate information.
Ensure fund switches / rebalances / top ups / withdrawals are carried out accurately and within company timescales.
Prepare and coordinate review documentation, including financial plan and portfolio reviews as per the Annual Review Process.
Review investment portfolios, asset allocations, risk profiles etc.
Attend client meetings when required.
Preparation of Review Suitability letters.
Essential skills
We are looking for someone who has gained at least a couple of years experience in a financial planning environment and at least a years experience working as an administrator.
Highly organised, methodical, and disciplined.
Able to work independently and prioritise and plan your workload.
Able to work within defined business processes with excellent attention to detail.
Able to communicate effectively in verbal and written form.
Shows initiative and takes personal responsibility for completing tasks.
Have a positive attitude, willing to assist others when busy.
Able to work under pressure on occasions to achieve deadlines.
Intelligent Office back-office system experience would be highly desirable.
Experience of Dynamic Planner, Financial Express, Cashcalc, Transact and Aegon Retirement Choices desired.
